Axle Oil Level In Front Final Drive, Checking

Used Oil Collection and Extraction Unit VAG 1782

NOTE:

General Repair Instructions. Refer to GENERAL REPAIR INFORMATION .

When checking oil level, vehicle must be on a level surface.

Procedure

Fig 1: Identifying Front/Rear Noise Insulation

-- Remove the bolts and remove front noise insulation -1-.

-- Move the Used Oil Collection and Extraction Unit VAG 1782under the front final drive.

-- Remove the plug for checking the transmission fluid level -arrow-.

Specified value: Oil level up to bottom edge of oil filler hole.

-- Fill the gear oil if necessary. .

-- Install the plug -arrow- with a new gasket.

Tightening specification SHAFT SEALS, REAR FINAL DRIVE 0BN AND 0BP OVERVIEW.
