Mass Airflow Sensor -G70-: Installing
Observe the following to ensure the Mass Airflow Sensor -G70- functions correctly.
If the air filter is very dirty or soaked, dirt particles or moisture may have contaminated the Mass Airflow Sensor -G70- and may be causing false mass airflow values. This results in a reduction of power, since a lower injection quantity is calculated.
Always use an original air filter.
Always replace damaged rings.
Use a silicone-free lubricant when installing the air guide hose and seal.
Secure all hose connections using hose clamps of series-production status .
-- Check the Mass Airflow Sensor -G70- and air duct hose (intake air side) for salt residue, dirt, and leaves.
-- Check the intake channels up to the air filter for dirt. If any contaminants are discovered, clean the air filter housing of salt residue, dirt and leaves (if necessary, clean upper and lower by washing or vacuuming). Air filter housing, removing and installing, Refer to AIR FILTER .
-- If the air filter was removed, check the water drain -arrow- in the lower air filter housing.
-- Align sealing ring in air filter housing nut and carefully slide Mass Airflow Sensor -G70- into air filter housing.
Install in reverse order of removal.
