-- Carefully pull the engine cover off the four retaining pins one after the other in direction of -arrows-.
-- Release the cover and pivot it to the side -arrow-.
-- Connect the E-Positioner Service Kit - E-Box VAS6395A/1 or Tester for E-Positioner - E-Box VAS6395B/1 with Turbo E-Positioner Service Kit - Wire Set VAS6395/2 to positive terminal -2- and to the Ground (GND).
Ignore item -1-.
Procedure for Tester for E-Positioner - E-Box VAS6395B/1:
-- Select the software version using the ↑ -5- and ↓ -6- buttons.
-- Press the v button -4- to confirm the software version.
In this example, Hella software -1- is selected.

- Make sure the correct software is loaded in the Turbo E-Positioner Service Kit - E-Box VAS6395/1 before performing the following procedure:
If the correct software is loaded, the following will be displayed on the E-Positioner Service Kit - E-Box VAS6395A/1 (2 seconds after the voltage supply is connected):
- > 1. START
- 2. NEXT [>]
If the following appears in the display, then incorrect software has been loaded:
1. >TEST
2. LEARN
In this case, download the correct software from the "information platform of the importer".
