Charge Air Cooler, Removing And Installing: Removing

NOTE:

The following removal and installation procedure is for the left charge air cooler.

-- Remove the front noise insulation -1-. Refer to NOISE INSULATION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the front bumper cover. Refer to FRONT BUMPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Pull the cover over the radiator -arrows-, to do this disconnect the lower coolant hose.

-- Remove the upper bolts -arrows- from the charge air cooler.

-- Unclip the air duct -1- from the charge air cooler.

-- Remove the nut -1- and bolts -2 and 3-.

-- Remove the retaining clip -1- slightly and then remove the charge air cooler.

NOTE:

Ignore items -2, 3 and 4-.

-- Release the retaining tab -A- on the connector coupling by pulling the securing clip -arrow-.

-- Remove the air guide pipe without using any tools.

NOTE:

If there are small impressions on the fins. Refer to COOLERS, CONDENSERS AND CHARGE AIR COOLERS, INSTALLING .
