Battery Jump Start Terminal -U6-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING

Removal

-- With the ignition switched off, disconnect the battery ground (GND) wire, refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- On TDI engines, remove the fuel filter and move it to the side with the lines still connected, refer to FUEL FILTER .

-- Remove bolt -1-.

-- Release the clip -4- and open the cover -5- in direction of -arrow-,

-- Remove the nuts -2- and -3- and disconnect the wires.

-- Open the clips in direction of -arrows- and remove the metal plate -3- and the screw -4-.

-- Open the clip -1- and remove the Battery Jump Start Terminal -U6- -2-.

-- Open the tabs underneath in direction of -arrows- and remove the Battery Jump Start Terminal -U6- -2- from the wire -1-.

Installation

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Connect battery. Required actions, refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .
