-- Disconnect cover from upholstery. Refer to BACKREST COVER AND UPHOLSTERY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Cut the electrical wire -2- off directly at the old backrest heating element -3-.

-- Carefully loosen the heating elements -A- and -B-, which are glued only along the edge and remove them.
