Tail Lamp, Removing And Installing

Special tools and workshop equipment required

Removal

-- Turn off the ignition and remove the key.

-- Turn the headlamp switch to "0".

-- Pry out cover cap with Trim Removal Wedge3409 in direction of -arrow-.

-- Remove the rear lid lower trim panel, refer to REAR LID TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the nuts -arrows-.

-- Disconnect electrical connector -2-.

-- Remove the tail lamp -1-.

Installation

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Wiring grommets -2- are seated correctly in their mount -3-.
The self-adhesive seal -1- between the rear lid and the tail lamp housing must seal correctly.

-- Tighten the nut on the tail lamp assembly in the following sequence: -1, 2 and 3-.

-- Place the cap -1- on the rear flap -2-, when doing this the mount -3- must fit into the notch in the body in direction of -arrow-.

-- Install the rear lid lower trim panel, refer to REAR LID TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
