Overview - Final Drive

- Flywheel
- Removing and installing. Refer to FLYWHEEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Shaft Seal
- For the left flange shaft
- Between the final drive and the transmission housing
- Replacing. Refer to LEFT SEAL, REPLACING .
- Shim
- Behind the taper roller bearing outer race
- Taper Roller Bearing Outer Race
- Differential
- Bolt
- Quantity 10
- Tightening specification and sequence:
NOTE:
Replace any bolts that were tightened with an additional turn.
-- Tighten the bolts in three steps in the sequence shown:
Step Bolts Tightening Specification/Additional Turn 1. -1 to 10- 3 Nm 2. -1 to 10- 20 Nm 3. -1 to 10- Tighten an additional 90°
- Locking Ring
- Replace
- Right Flange Shaft
- Removing and installing. Refer to RIGHT FLANGE SHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
- Shaft Seal
- For the right flange shaft
- Replacing. Refer to RIGHT SEAL, REPLACING .
- Front Final Drive Cover
- Removing and installing. Refer to -item 6- Bolts .
- O-Ring
- On the front final drive cover
- Replace
- Shim
- Behind the taper roller bearing outer race
- Taper Roller Bearing Outer Race
- Spring Pin
- Selector Lever
- Shaft Seal
- For the selector shaft
- Refer to SELECTOR SHAFT SEAL, REPLACING
- Bolt
- Quantity: 3
- Tightening specification: 10 Nm + 45° .
- Left Flange Shaft
- Removing and installing. Refer to LEFT FLANGE SHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Gear Carrier
- Attached to the left flange shaft with the bearing -20- and the circlip -21-
- Bearings
- For the left flange shaft
- Pressed on to the left flange shaft
- Locking Ring
- For the left flange shaft bearing
- Replace
- Shaft Seal
- For the input shaft
- Replacing. Refer to INPUT SHAFT SEAL, REPLACING .
