To ensure vehicle is absolutely level, drive onto a hoist or over a service pit.

NOTE:

If lifting the vehicle on a hoist with wheels off the ground, the vehicle jack mode must be activated → 43 - Self Leveling Suspension

CAUTION: Wear eye protection.

NOTE:

The oil inspection and filler plug - C - is located above the crossmember for the transmission and is therefore difficult to access.

If gear oil drips from the opening, oil level - arrow - in transfer case is OK.
