Wiring harness in transmission, removing and installing

Removing
- Remove mechatronics unit → Mechatronics unit, removing and installing .
- Touch vehicle ground with hand (without gloves) to discharge static.
CAUTION:
- Always discharge static by touching a grounded object, e.g. vehicle ground, before touching or removing mechatronics unit.
- Never touch contacts in 16-pin connector, as the static charge could destroy the control module and thus the mechatronics unit.
- Carefully pry wiring harness - A - from mechatronics unit - B -. At the same time, detach tab - arrow - on backside of wiring harness from mechatronics unit.
NOTE:
- If the tab - arrow - on the backside of the wiring harness breaks off, the wiring harness must be replaced → Wiring harness in transmission, removing and installing .
- Carefully disconnect connector - C - from socket - D - of mechatronics unit.
Installing
Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:
- Carefully plug connector - C - into socket - D - of mechatronics unit.
- Clip wiring harness - A - onto mechatronics unit - B -. At the same time, insert tab - arrow - on backside of wiring harness into mechatronics unit.
- Install mechatronics unit → Mechatronics unit, removing and installing .
- Top off ATF → Draining ATF and filling after repairs .
