ATF screen, removing and installing

NOTE:

Removing
- Remove oil pan → Oil pan, removing and installing .
- Remove cross member - D - → 40 - FRONT SUSPENSION .
- Carefully remove ATF strainer - A - from transmission.
Installing
- Carefully press intake neck of ATF strainer - A - into opening of transmission until stop.
Note the following when replacing with a new ATF strainer:
NOTE:
- The ATF strainer only requires replacement when it is damaged.
- Carefully remove seal for ATF strainer - A - from transmission, e.g. using a screwdriver.
NOTE:
- Do not damage sealing surface.
- The illustration shows seal with mechatronics unit removed.
- The new ATF strainer is supplied with the seal in place.
- Carefully press intake neck of new ATF strainer - A - into opening of transmission until stop.
NOTE:
- When replacing with new ATF strainer, it is pressed in with seal already attached.
Continued for new and old ATF strainer:
- Install oil pan → Oil pan, removing and installing .
- Top off ATF → Draining ATF and filling after repairs .
- Install cross member - D - → 40 - FRONT SUSPENSION .
