Rear transmission supports and transmission mounts, removing and installing

Remove left and right transmission supports (only right-side shown in illustration) with transmission mounts from transmission (3 bolts each) - arrows -.

A - Socket and key

NOTE:

If necessary, press down transmission at rear to access all bolts for transmission supports on transmission. Take note of selector lever cable when doing so.

Mark installation position of transmission mount - B - on transmission support - arrow 1 - , e.g. with a felt tip pen.
Secure transmission support - A - with transmission mount in a vise with jaw protectors.
Remove bolt - E - from transmission mount.
Attach new transmission mount to transmission support so that narrow side - arrow 2 - of transmission mount faces outward. In addition, make sure that the transmission mount is placed on marking (marked before removal).

NOTE:

In order to ensure the exact installation position of transmission mount, proceed according to the following steps.

First hand-tighten both transmission supports with transmission mounts to transmission.
Then check tunnel cross member bolt holes - D - on transmission mounts.
If necessary, adjust installation position of transmission mounts on transmission supports to prevent tension.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
