Operating manual release for shift mechanism

NOTE:

When the battery is disconnected or has been discharged, the selector lever cannot be shifted out of the "P" position.
By operating the manual release the Shift Lock Solenoid N110 will release the selector lever when there is no power supply.

Remove front ashtray → 68 - INTERIOR EQUIPMENT .

NOTE:

If the manual release rocker switch has a cover, pry it off using, e.g. a screwdriver.

Press rocker switch - A - for manual release, e.g. using a screwdriver.
At the same time, move selector lever out of "P" position.
