Intake manifold upper part, removing and installing: Notes

NOTE:
- All cable ties which are opened or cut open when removing, must be replaced in the same position when installing.
Fig 1: Pulling Engine Cover At Rear And Middle Upward And Off & Pulling Engine Cover Forward And Off Of Intake Manifold
- Carefully pull engine cover upward and off at rear - arrows 1 -.
- Pull engine cover forward and off of intake manifold - arrows 2 -.
- Disconnect hose - 1 - from air duct hose.
- Remove left air duct hose - arrows -.

- Disconnect electrical connection - 7 - at Throttle valve control module 2 -J544-.
- Separate the vacuum lines - 3 - and - 5 -.
- Pull off hoses - 2 - and - 6 - for the crankcase breather.
NOTE:
- Ignore - Pos. 1 - and - 4 - in the illustration.

- Separate electrical connector - 1 - for Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor -G70-.
- Disconnect air duct hose - 4 - at intake manifold.
- Unhook retainer for connections - 2 - and - 3 - at upper part of air filter housing.
- Remove bolts - arrows -.
- Remove upper part of right air filter housing.

- Disconnect electrical connection - 6 - at Throttle valve control module -J338-.
- Disconnect vacuum hose - 1 -.
- Pull off hoses for crankcase breather - 4 - and - 5 -.
NOTE:
- Ignore - Pos. 2 - and - 3 - in the illustration.
- Pull off vacuum hose - 4 - from Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister purge regulator valve -N80-.
NOTE:
- Ignore - Pos. 1, 2 and 3 - in the illustration.
- Disconnect vacuum hose - arrow - at fuel pressure regulator.
NOTE:
- Shown from rear in illustration.
- Remove bolts - arrows -.
- Remove bolts - 1 - and - 2 - and remove intake manifold upper part.
NOTE:
- Plug the intake ports of the cylinder head with clean rags.
