Right cylinder head, removing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
- Polydrive Bit and Drive Socket T10070
- Crankshaft Holder 3242
Removing
NOTE:
- Before raising the vehicle on a hoist (wheels off the ground), first activate the vehicle jack mode → 43 - Self Leveling Suspension .
NOTE:
- Secure all hose connections using hose clamps appropriate for the model type .
- All cable ties which are opened or cut open when removing, must be replaced in the same position when installing.
- Replace cylinder head bolts.
- Always replace self-locking nuts, bolts which have been tightened to tightening torque as well as gaskets and O-rings.
- When replacing the cylinder head or cylinder head gasket, coolant must be completely replaced.
- Remove engine → Engine, removing and installing .
- Remove toothed belt cover.
- Disconnect connector - 1 - from Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor.
- Toothed belt, removing → Toothed belt, removing and installing .
- Remove camshaft gear.
- Remove idler pulley - arrow -.
- Remove bolts - 1 - and - 2 - and remove bolts .
- Remove intake manifold → 24 MULTIPORT FUEL INJECTION (MFI) .
- Remove crankshaft housing ventilation pipe, remove bolt - 2 - and loosen hose clamp - 4 - to do so.
- Remove coolant pipe from cylinder head (bolts - 1 - and - 3 -).
- Remove ignition coils → 28 IGNITION/GLOW PLUG SYSTEM .
- Remove left cylinder head cover bolts in sequence - 12 to 1 -.
- Remove cylinder head cover.
- Remove water pipe - arrows -.
- Disconnect connector - 1 -.
- Disconnect hose - 2 -.
- Remove bracket - 3 -.
- Disconnect connector - 4 -.
- Remove Ground (GND) cable - 5 - from cylinder head.
- Remove bolts - 6 -.
- Disconnect hose - 7 - from combination valve.
- Remove bolts - 8 -.
- Disconnect connector - 9 -.
- Remove water pipe.
- Remove right front exhaust pipe with catalytic converter.
- Follow sequence - 1 to 10 - when loosening cylinder head bolts.
- Remove cylinder head and place it on a soft surface (foam).
