Rear LATCH Bracket, Fixed Rear Seat Backrest

Outer LATCH Bracket, Removing and Installing 

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required 

• V.A.G 1331 Torque wrench

• V.A.G 1332 Torque wrench

Removing 

• Remove rear seat bench → Rear Bench Seat, Removing and Installing .

• Remove the bolts - 2  - and - 3  -.
• Remove the LATCH bracket - 1  -.

4  - Rear seat backrest

Installing 

Installation is reverse of removal, noting the following:

• Replace the bolts if the LATCH bracket is removed due to an accident.

Tightening Specifications

• Bolt - 2  - : 40 Nm
• Bolt - 3  - : 55 Nm

Center LATCH Bracket, Removing and Installing 

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required 

• Torque wrench V.A.G 1331

• Torque wrench V.A.G 1332

Removing 

• Remove rear seat bench → Rear Bench Seat, Removing and Installing .

• Remove bolt - 4  -.
• Remove the belt latch.
• Remove bolt - 5  -.
• Remove LATCH bracket - 1  -.

2 - Rear seat backrest

Installing 

Installation is reverse of removal, noting the following:

• Install the belt latch with the anti-twist mechanism in the correct position.
• If removing ISOFIX bracket for accident repairs, screws must be replaced.

Tightening torques

• Bolt - 4  - : 55 Nm
• Bolt - 5  - : 40 Nm
