Rear Window Switch, Removing and Installing

Removing 

• Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.
• Remove rear door trim → 70 - INTERIOR TRIM .
• Detach insulating mat from door trim.

• Remove bolts - arrows  - and detach armrest.

• Remove bolt - arrow  - and detach switch mount - 1  - from armrest.

• Remove bolts - arrows  - and detach switch mount with window regulator switch.

• Disconnect electrical connector - 2  -.
• Carefully release catches - arrows  - using a small screwdriver.
• Remove Left Rear Window Switch (In LR Door) E52/E54 - item 1  - downward out of switch mount.

Installing 

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

• Press switch into switch mount until fasteners engage.
• Install rear door trim → 70 - INTERIOR TRIM .
