Relay and fuse carrier in right luggage compartment, removing and installing

Removing
- With ignition switched off, disconnect battery Ground (GND) wire → Battery, disconnecting and connecting .
- Remove right luggage compartment side trim cover.
- Release retaining springs - arrows A - and pull Comfort System Central Control Module J393 downward out of relay and fuse carrier - arrow B -.
NOTE:
- Disregard - 1 through 3 -.
- Unclip harness connectors - 4 - and bracket - 3 - for additional fuses at relay and fuse carrier.
- Remove relay - 2 - or control modules, then unclip respective relay carrier.
- Release retaining springs - arrows - and open cover - 1 -.

Sedan:
- On vehicles with parking aid, remove right side trim → 70 - INTERIOR TRIM REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Release clip - arrow A - and swivel Parking Aid Control Module J446 - 4 - out of mounting frame - arrow B -.
- Harness connectors - 1 3 - remain connected.
- Remove nuts and bolts - arrows -.
- Remove mounting frame - 1 - for control modules.
NOTE:
- Towing Recognition Control Module J345 does not need to be removed.
Vehicles with car jack bracket:
- Remove car jack from bracket.
- Remove nuts - 1 - and - 2 - and bolt - 3 -.
- Remove car jack bracket.
All:
- Remove electrical wires - 1 3 -.
- Remove nuts - arrows - and remove relay and fuse carrier.

- Release retaining springs - arrows - and press fuse holders - 1 - and - 2 - toward rear out of relay and fuse carrier.

Installing
Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:
- Connect battery. Required actions Battery, disconnecting and connecting .
