E box right plenum chamber, old version:

CAUTION: Pump-valve unit of heater (left in front of E box) heats up significantly during operation - danger of burns!

NOTE:
  • Engine Control Module (ECM) remains connected at wiring harness.
  • Remove electrical harness connector - 1  - from main fuse carrier - 2  -.
NOTE:
  • Disregard - 4  - and - 5  -.

E box right plenum chamber, new version:

NOTE:
  • The engine control modules remain connected at wiring harness.

  • For exact assignment of secondary relay carrier E-Box right plenum chamber, refer to current wiring diagram → Electrical Wiring Diagrams, Troubleshooting and Component Locations.

Installing 

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

Tightening torques

Component Nm
Electrical wires to main fuse carrier 9
Cover to E box right plenum chamber 4
Cowl grille to blower box 2.7
