Rain/Light Recognition Sensor G397, removing and installing
Removing
- If Rain/Light Recognition Sensor G397 is replaced, select respective control module in "Guided Functions".
- Pry off cover - 1 - at upper mirror base - arrows -.
- Remove electrical harness connector from bracket.
- Disconnect electrical harness connector - 2 -.
- Rotate interior mirror at mirror base - 1 - counter-clockwise - arrow - until stop.
- Remove interior mirror from holding plate.

- Disconnect electrical harness connector - 2 -.
- Release retaining clips - arrows - using small screwdriver and remove Rain/Light Recognition Sensor G397 - 1 -.
NOTE:
- If released, Rain/Light Recognition Sensor G397 must be replaced since silicone pad on upper side of sensor is destroyed when removed from windshield.
Installing
Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:
- Thoroughly clean windshield from remainder of silicone pad.
NOTE:
- Rain/Light Recognition Sensor G397 must audibly engage in mount.
- Attach interior mirror offset at 30 ° from installation position.
- Turn interior mirror clockwise until stop.
- New rain/light recognition sensor must be coded in "Guided Functions".
