Battery, rapid-charging
CAUTION:
- Battery must not be connected to vehicle electrical system when performing rapid charging. Disconnect ground and positive cables → Battery, removing and installing .
- Do NOT attempt to rapid-charge completely discharged batteries.
CAUTION:
- Battery sealing plugs must always be firmly screwed in during charging, voltage measurement and load measurement.
- Ensure good ventilation.
- Smoking or open flames are not allowed in rooms in which batteries are being charged. The reason for this is that inflammable gasses are formed during battery charging process.
- Observe safety regulations of charger and battery manufacturers.
NOTE:
- Battery temperature must be at least 10 ° C.
- Rapid charging of batteries should only be performed in exceptional circumstances (e.g. boost starting) as rapid charging may cause damage.
