Seat Side Cover and Upholstery, Removing and Installing

3 - Seat side bolster (2x)

• Removing 

• Remove seat → Seat, Removing and Installing .
• Mount the fixture for seat repair VAS 6136 on the engine and transmission holder VAS 6095.
• Attach the front seat to the fixture for seat repair VAS 6136.
• Remove side trim on sill side → Side Trim, Sill Side, Removing and Installing .

• Remove side trim on tunnel side → Side Trim, Tunnel Side, Removing and Installing .
• Remove front trim → Front Trim, Removing and Installing .
• Remove bracket for seat side panels → Seat Side Trim Bracket, Removing and Installing .
• Remove the backrest → Front Backrest, Removing and Installing .

• Remove cover and padding from seat pan → Front Seat Covers and Upholstery, Power Memory Seats .
• Using a screwdriver, pry out clamping strips - 4  - (2x).
• Unclip retainer - 9  - from clips - 1  - (2x).
• Unclip retainer - 7  - from clip - 2  -.

• Guide retainer - 9  - and - 7  - out of cover straps - 8  - and - 6  -.
• Remove side bolster on the opposite side in the same way.
• Remove side bolster - 3  - (2x).
• To replace covers or heating elements, pull off covers (2x) from upholstery pieces (2x).

• Installing 

• Replaced damaged plastic clips.
• Slide wire - 5  - (2x) under side bolster.
• Install cover and upholstery - 3  - in reverse order of removal.
