Selector Shaft Seal, Removing And Installing, Left
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Seal Installer - Selector Shaft Oil SealT10174
Procedure
-- Remove the selector lever. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Shaft seal running surfaces on selector shaft and transmission housing must not be damaged.
-- Pry out the left selector shaft seal using a scriber or a small screwdriver.
-- Coat the outer circumference and the space between the sealing lips -arrow- on the new shaft seal with ATF.
- Installation position: the open side of the seal faces the transmission.
-- Install the shaft seal with a Seal Installer - Selector Shaft Oil SealT10174. Do not tilt the seal.
-- Install the selector lever. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the multifunction transmission range switch. Refer to Multifunction Transmission Range Switch -F125-, REMOVING, INSTALLING AND ADJUSTING .

-- Pry out the right selector shaft seal using a scriber or a small screwdriver.
-- Coat the outer circumference and the space between the sealing lips -arrow- on the new shaft seal with ATF.
- Installation position: the open side of the seal faces the transmission.
-- Install the shaft seal with a Seal Installer - Selector Shaft Oil SealT10174. Do not tilt the seal.
-- Multifunction transmission range switch, installing and adjusting. Refer to Multifunction Transmission Range Switch -F125-, REMOVING, INSTALLING AND ADJUSTING .
