B-Pillar Trim, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Observe the following when doing so:

NOTE:

If trim clamps remain in body mounting points, remove these and insert them in trim.

Check clamps for damage or deformation, replace if necessary.

Ensure belt webbing is not twisted.

When installing trim, do not press belt height adjustment button.

During installation, attach trim from bottom upwards toward belt height adjuster.

-- Guide belt webbing -2- through B-pillar trim -1-.

-- Engage the B-pillar trim with the tabs in the headliner.

-- Secure the B-pillar trim with the 2 pins on the belt guide.

-- Ensure that sliding piece mount -3- of the B-pillar trim engages in retaining pins -4- on the seat belt height adjuster.

-- Clip the B-pillar trim in the lower area into the mounts on the body and the sill panel.

-- Install outer seat belt anchorage point (on front seat). Refer to BELT ANCHOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Vehicles with Vents in the B-Pillar Trim

-- Engage the bottom side of the vent (knurled wheel side) in the B-pillar trim.

-- Clip the top side of the vent in the B-pillar trim.

Procedure for all vehicles

-- Draw the door seal lip over the B-pillar trim.

NOTE:

Ensure that the B-pillar trim is held securely.

-- Check the function of the seat belt height adjuster.
