Overview - Fuel Tank, Vehicles With 6.0L (V12) Engine

  1. Fuel supply line
    • To the metering pump for the auxiliary heater
    • Clipped in on fuel tank
  2. Fuel Return Line
  3. Fuel supply line
  4. Bolt
  5. Mounting strap
    • front right
    • Pay attention to the installed position.
  6. Bolt
  7. Mounting strap
    • rear right
    • Pay attention to the installed position.
  8. Nut
    • 9 Nm
  9. Shield
    • for fuel filler tube
  10. Bolt
    • 9 Nm
  11. Overflow Hose
  12. Rubber Gasket
  13. Cap
    • Attached to the fuel filler door insert with an permanent fastener
  14. Bolt
    • 5 Nm
  15. Ground Connection
    • For discharging electrostatic charge
    • make sure the connector fits securely on the fuel filler tube metal ring
    • After installing, check electrical connection of fuel filler tube to a bare area of chassis using Ohm meter - Specified value: approximately 0 Ω
  16. Bolt
    • 9 Nm
  17. Bracket
    • For breather line
  18. Carrier Plate
  19. Bolt
  20. Fuel Tank
  21. Mounting strap
    • Rear left
    • Pay attention to the installed position.

    • Front left
    • Pay attention to the installed position.

-- Route the ground connection -1- as shown.

-- Ensure connector of Ground (GND) connection fits securely at metal ring of fuel filler tube.

NOTE:

Ignore -items 2 and 3-.

WARNING:

Danger due to electrostatic charge.

  • After installing, check electrical connection on fuel filler neck metal ring to an empty spot on the body using an Ohm meter.
  • Specified value: approximately 0 Ω.
