Wheel Bearing Housing and Wheel Bearing Unit, Assembly Overview

1 - Wheel Bearing Housing

• Removing and installing → Wheel Bearing Housing, Removing and Installing 

2 - Self-locking nut

• Always replace

3 - Bolt

4 - Bolt

• For adjusting toe constants "S" → Toe Constant S, Adjusting

5 - Nut

6 - Wheel bearing

• Replace → Wheel Bearing, Replacing 

7 - Slide washer

8 - Wheel hub

• Replace → Wheel Bearing, Replacing 

9 - Wheel bearing unit

• Removing and installing → Wheel Bearing Unit, Removing and Installing 

10 - Collar screw

• Always replace
• Follow the correct sequence when loosening and tightening → Driveshaft, Removing and Installing .
• Torque specification → Driveshaft, Removing and Installing  .

11 - Cover plate

12 - Bolt, 10 Nm

13 - Driveshaft

• Removing and installing → Driveshaft, Removing and Installing 
• Triple Roller Joint, Servicing → Peened Triple Roller Joint AAR 3300 i, Disassembling and Assembling 
• Outer Joint, Servicing → Outer CV Joint, Disassembling and Assembling 

14 - Bolt, 70 Nm

• Pre-tighten to 10 Nm in diagonal sequence

15 - Bolt

• Tightening specification: → 37 - CONTROLS, HOUSING for 6 SPD. AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION 09E ALL WHEEL DRIVE or 37 - AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION - CONTROLS, HOUSING for 6 SPD. AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION 09L ALL WHEEL DRIVE

16 - Cover

17 - Bolt, 8 Nm

18 - Wheel speed sensor

19 - Cap screws

• Always replace
• 80 Nm plus an additional 90 (1/4 turn)

20 - Bolt, 50 Nm

21 - Washer
