Center Console Extension Bracket, Removing and Installing
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
- Torque wrench V.A.G 1783/
1 - Center bracket of center console
Removing
- Remove center console extension → Center Console Extension, Removing and Installing .
- Remove center console → Center Console with Extension, Removing and Installing .
- Remove screws - 2 - (qty. 4).
- Remove center console center bracket - 1 -.
Installing
Installation is reverse of removal.
2 - Bolts (4x), 4 Nm
3 - Rear center console bracket
Removing
- Remove center console extension → Center Console Extension, Removing and Installing .
- Remove intermediate piece of air duct → Air Duct Adapter, Removing and Installing .
- Remove center console → Center Console with Extension, Removing and Installing .
- Remove bolts - 5 - (6x).
- Pull out intermediate piece - 4 - toward rear.
- Pull out rear center console bracket - 3 - downward.
Installing
Installation is reverse of removal.
4 - Intermediate piece
Removing
- Remove center console extension → Center Console Extension, Removing and Installing .
- Remove intermediate piece of air duct → Air Duct Adapter, Removing and Installing .
- Remove bolts - 7 - (qty. 4).
- Remove bolts - 5 - (6x).
- Pull out intermediate piece - 4 - toward rear.
Installing
Installation is reverse of removal.
5 - Bolts (6x), 4 Nm
6 - Center console extension bracket
Removing
- Remove center console extension → Center Console Extension, Removing and Installing .
- Remove intermediate piece of air duct → Air Duct Adapter, Removing and Installing .
- Remove bolts - 7 - (qty. 4).
- Remove bolts - 5 - (6x).
- Pull out intermediate piece - 4 - toward rear.
- Unscrew nuts for center console extension bracket - 6 -.
- Remove center console extension bracket - 6 -.
Installing
Installation is reverse of removal.
7 - Bolts (4x), 4 Nm
