Adaptive Cruise Control Sensor, Removing and Installing

The sensor is located behind the front bumper cover.
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
- Torque wrench V.A.G 1783
Removing
- Remove front bumper cover → .
- Disengage clip - 1 - for wiring harness - 2 -.
- Remove hex bolts - 1 -.
- Remove sensor with bracket and disconnect connector.
- Remove sensor from bracket if necessary.
Installing
NOTE:
- Studs in bracket are preset. Do not change the adjustment.
- Lay bracket on a level surface.
- Align clips - 2 - on the studs - 1 -.
- Carefully pressure sensor - 3 - on by hand until the clips - 2 - engage in the sensor.
- Install hex bolts - 1 - and tighten them to 8 Nm.
- Install front bumper cover → .
- Calibrate adaptive cruise control → Adaptive Cruise Control .
