Adaptive Cruise Control Sensor, Removing and Installing

The sensor is located behind the front bumper cover.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque wrench V.A.G 1783

Removing 

• Remove front bumper cover → .

• Disengage clip - 1  - for wiring harness - 2  -.

• Remove hex bolts - 1  -.
• Remove sensor with bracket and disconnect connector.
• Remove sensor from bracket if necessary.

Installing 

• Lay bracket on a level surface.

• Align clips - 2  - on the studs - 1  -.
• Carefully pressure sensor - 3  - on by hand until the clips - 2  - engage in the sensor.

• Install hex bolts - 1  - and tighten them to 8 Nm.
• Install front bumper cover → .
• Calibrate adaptive cruise control → Adaptive Cruise Control .
