Oil pan, ATF screen and mechatronics unit, removing and installing

CAUTION: Do not run engine or tow vehicle with oil pan removed or when there is no ATF in the transmission.

NOTE:

Always replace mechatronics unit if it is dirty or faulty.

Coat O-rings and seals with ATF. Other lubricants cause malfunctions of the hydraulic transmission controls.

1 - Bolt

10 Nm
Quantity 24, tighten in diagonal sequence
Oil pan to transmission

2 - ATF drain plug

12 Nm
Always replace bolts

3 - ATF check plug

80 Nm

4 - O-Ring

Always replace

5 - Oil pan

→ Oil pan, removing and installing

6 - Magnet

Ensure full surface contact
Clean before installation

7 - Cover cap

Inserted in oil pan opening

8 - Magnet

Ensure full surface contact
Clean before installation

9 - Oil pan seal

Always replace

10 - ATF screen

→ ATF screen, removing and installing

11 - O-Ring

Always replace

12 - Wiring harness connector securing clip

13 - Wiring harness in transmission

→ Wiring harness in transmission, removing and installing

14 - Bolt

8 Nm

15 - Mechatronics unit

→ Mechatronics unit, removing and installing

16 - Seal
