Removing and Installing:

-- Turn off the ignition.

-- Remove the upper lock carrier cover. Refer to OVERVIEW - LOCK CARRIER and LOCK CARRIER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect the connector -E- on the temperature sensor -A- and remove the temperature sensor from the bracket (-B- or -D-).

NOTE:

Depending on the vehicle equipment level, it may be necessary to remove the bumper in order to remove the Outside Air Temperature Sensor -G17- -A- from the bracket -C- installed under the impact member -D- (if, for example, the Outside Air Temperature Sensor -G17- is not accessible from above on vehicles with additional radiators).

-- After installing, check the DTC memory for the Climatronic Control Module -J255- display and control head (and the Instrument Cluster Control Module -J285-) and erase any faults, if necessary using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding  " function.
