If the distance regulation control module is replaced, the corresponding program must be started in "Guided Functions" using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
-- Remove the right front air intake grille. Refer to FRONT BUMPER .
RS Models:
-- Remove the front bumper cover. Refer to FRONT BUMPER .
-- Remove the air guide to the coolant auxiliary cooler. Refer to appropriate service information. .
All Models:
-- Remove the cover. Refer to -item 1) OVERVIEW - Adaptive Cruise Control Sensor -G550- from the Adaptive Cruise Control Sensor -G550-.
Vehicles through MY 2012
-- Turn the nuts -2- approximately 45° to the left and remove them.
-- Release and remove the connector -3-.
-- Remove the Adaptive Cruise Control Sensor -G550- -1- forward through the bumper cover.
-- Remove the bolts -1- and the bracket -2-.
Vehicles from MY 2012
-- Turn the nuts -2- approximately 45° to the left and remove the Adaptive Cruise Control Sensor -G550- -1- with the stud bolts from the nuts.
-- Release and remove the connector -3-.
-- Remove the Adaptive Cruise Control Sensor -G550- -1- forward through the bumper cover.
-- Turn the bolt -1- just far enough so that the tip of the bolt does not extend past the spring nut.
-- Remove the bolt -2 and 3- and the bracket.
