Relay and fuse carrier in E box left plenum chamber, removing and installing
Removing
- Remove wiper arms → Wiper arms, removing and installing .
- With ignition switched off, disconnect battery Ground (GND) wire → Battery, disconnecting and connecting .
- Remove rubber seal - 1 - for plenum chamber cover.
- Remove plenum chamber cover - 2 -.
- Remove bolts - arrows - for cowl grille - 1 - at left and right.
- Carefully pull cowl grille off locking mechanism on windshield.
- Remove bolts - arrows -.
- Remove E-Box cover in left plenum chamber.

- Release locking mechanisms - arrows - and pull fuse holder - 1 - and secondary relay carrier - 2 - upward in E box left plenum chamber.
- Pull out relay and control modules, then unclip respective socket for electrical multi-pin harness connectors.

- Remove fuses on fuse holder.
- Pull off retaining strip - 1 - for harness connectors - arrow - and remove harness connectors from connector socket.
NOTE:
- For exact assignment of relay and fuse carrier in E box left plenum chamber, refer to current wiring diagram → Electrical Wiring Diagrams, Troubleshooting and Component Locations.
Installing
Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:
- Connect battery. Required actions Battery, disconnecting and connecting .
- Adjust wiper arms → Wiper arms, adjusting .
