Four-way lumbar support, removing and installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required 

• Engine and transmission holder VAS 6095

• Fixture for seat repair VAS 6136

• Removal:

• Remove seat → Front power seats with memory, removing and installing .
• Mount the fixture for seat repair VAS 6136 on the engine and transmission holder VAS 6095.
• Attach the front seat to the fixture for seat repair VAS 6136.
• Remove side trim on sill side → Side panels on door sill side, removing and installing .

• Remove side trim on tunnel side → Tunnel-side side trim, removing and installing .
• Remove the backrest → Front backrest, removing and installing .
• Remove backrest cover panel → Backrest cover, removing and installing .
• Remove backrest frame → Backrest frame, removing and installing .

• Disengage release for four-way lumbar adjustment - 2  - at hook - 4  -.
• Disengage four-way lumbar support height adjustment release - 1  - at retaining pin - 5  - and at idler pulley - 6  -.
• Disengage bottom of four-way lumbar support - 3  - at - B  - positions (Qty. 2).
• Disengage four-way lumbar support - 3  - above at - A  - positions (Qty. 2).

• Installing: 

Installation is reverse of removal.
