Luggage compartment side trim, removing and installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required 

• Torque wrench V.A.G 1410

1 - Luggage compartment trim

• Removal:

• Remove luggage compartment floor mat → Luggage compartment floor mat, removing and installing .
• Remove rear cross panel trim → Rear cross panel trim, removing and installing .
• Remove rear seat backrest → Fixed backrest, removing and installing .
• Position tie-downs - 5  - upward (1x or 2x, depending on version).

• Remove two Phillips-head screws - 6  - in tie-downs.
• Remove clip - 3  -.
• Disengage clip - 3  - from tab.
• Disengage three clips - 4  -.

• If necessary, remove cover - 2  -.
• Pull off luggage compartment trim - 1  - upward.

• Installing: 

Installation is reverse of removal. Observe the following when doing so:

• After installation has been completed, pull rear lid rubber over trim - 1  -.

3 - Clip

4 - Clips (3x)

5 - Tie-downs

6 - Screws, (2x)

• Tightening torque 4 Nm
