Oil pump, removing: Installing

Install oil pump in reverse order of removal but note the following:

Sealing surface must be free of oil or sealing compound.

CAUTION: Wear eye protection.

NOTE: Oil pan must be installed within 5 minutes of applying silicone sealer D 176 404 A2.
CAUTION: Part numbers are listed for reference only. Always check with your Parts department for the latest information.

NOTE: The bead of sealant must not be thicker than 3 mm (approx. 1/8 in.), as otherwise excess sealant will enter the oil pan and obstruct the strainer in the oil intake pipe.
NOTE: After installing the oil pan, wait for about 30 minutes for the sealant to cure before filling with engine oil.
