Passive Occupant Detection System (PODS), passenger airbag deactivation procedure after a crash (USA only)

CAUTION:
  • A RE-ZERO must be performed on seat occupied recognition control module after each airbag or passenger belt tensioner deployment.
  • If seat rails or seat pan are replaced after an accident due to deformation, seat occupied recognition must be replaced by service kit. Then basic setting and RE-ZERO must be carried on seat occupied recognition control module.
