Power Take-Off Drive Chain, Removing And Installing: Installing

• Tightening specifications. Refer to OVERVIEW - POWER TAKE-OFF DRIVE CHAIN .
• Secure crankshaft -1- in "TDC" position using Crankshaft Locking PinT40069.

-- Mount the chain tensioner together with the chain and the balance shaft sprocket.

-- Lock the balance shaft in the "TDC" position with the Locating PinsT40116.

• The slots in the balance shaft chain sprocket must be centered with the threaded holes in the balance shaft. Offset the chain by one tooth, if necessary.

-- Tighten the chain tensioner bolts.

-- Install the chain sprocket bolts -1- loosely.

• It must still be possible to rotate the chain sprocket on the balance shaft and it must not tip.

-- Remove the Locking PinT40071 to release the chain tensioner.

-- Press against the chain tensioner guide rail -arrow- with screwdriver and simultaneously fasten the bolts -1- for sprocket.

-- Remove the Locating PinsT40116 from the balance shaft.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Install the timing chain cover lower section. Refer to LOWER TIMING CHAIN COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the locking bolt "TDC" mark crankshaft. Refer to Figure.
