12V Socket 3 -U19- AND 12 V Socket 4 -U20-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING

Cigarette Lighter Release ToolT40148

Removal

-- Slide the Cigarette Lighter Release ToolT40148 as far as the stop into the 12V socket -1-.

-- Rotate the thumbwheel -2- on the Cigarette Lighter Release ToolT40148 clockwise as far as the stop.

The piston -2- is pulled upward and the release tabs -1- on the Cigarette Lighter Release ToolT40148 spread in direction of -arrows-.

-- Remove the 12V socket from the illumination ring with the Socket Illumination Bulb -L42- using the Cigarette Lighter Release ToolT40148.

-- Disconnect the connector.

Installation

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

WARNING:

Risk of injury.

After Removal the Cigarette Lighter Release ToolT40148, check to see if the lighter retaining tabs are bent.
If the retaining tabs are bend, bend them back so the lighter does not slide out.

-- Remove the support -1- on the Cigarette Lighter Release ToolT40148.

-- Slide the piston down and hold it in place.

-- Rotate the thumbwheel -4- on the Cigarette Lighter Release ToolT40148 counterclockwise in direction of -arrow-. This loosens the release tabs -2- on the 12V socket -3- so the Cigarette Lighter Release ToolT40148 can be removed.
