Rear Final Drive Axle Oil Level, Checking

- Torque WrenchV.A.G 1331
- Used oil collection and extraction deviceV.A.G 1782
NOTE:
Refer to general repair instructions. Refer to the appropriate service information .
When checking oil level, vehicle must be on a level surface.
-- Position Used Oil Collecting and Extracting DeviceV.A.G 1782 below rear final drive.
-- Remove oil filler bolt -arrow- with a hex key.
The oil level is correct when the rear final drive is filled to the lower edge of the filler hole.
- The fluid level must be at the bottom edge of the inspection opening.
-- If necessary, top off axle oil; specification.
-- Screw in bolt -arrow- with new seal.
