Axle Oil Level In Front Final Drive, Checking

Procedure

NOTE:

Refer to general repair instructions. Refer to the appropriate service information .

When checking oil level, vehicle must be on a level surface.

-- Remove screws and remove front noise insulation -1-.

-- Position Used Oil Collecting and Extracting DeviceV.A.G 1782 below front final drive.

-- Remove oil filler bolt -arrow- with a hex key.

-- If necessary, top off axle oil; specification.

-- Screw in bolt -arrow- with new seal.

Tightening Specifications
Oil filler plug to front final drive	35 Nm
