Rear Lid, Removing And Installing

  1. Rear Lid
    • Removing
      NOTE:

      When reinstalling hood (for example, when changing seal), perform hood removal by disconnecting hood hinge. Refer to LID HINGE, DISCONNECTING  .

      Then the rear lid does not have to be readjusted.

    • Remove the trim panel from the rear lid. Refer to REAR LID TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
    • Disconnect or pull off electrical harness connectors and hose for rear window washer system.
    • Pull the gas-filled struts off the rear lid.
    • A second technician will be needed to hold and to lift the rear lid.
    • Remove screws on hood-side hinge and remove rear lid.
    • Install in reverse order of removal. It is necessary to adjust the rear lid again.
  2. Rear Lid Grip Piece
  3. Stop
  4. Combination Screw
    • Tightening specification: 8 Nm
  5. Gas-Filled Strut
    • Noise insulation component must be installed on the body side.
  6. Adjusting Buffer
  7. Combination Screw
    • Tightening specification: 8 Nm
  8. Seal
    • To remove rear lid, remove lid hinge.
  9. Rear Lid Catch
  10. Rear Lid Unlock Motor -V139-
  11. Nut
    • Tightening specification: 20 Nm
