Rear Lid Hinge, Removing And Installing: Notes

NOTE:

If both hinges and rear lid are being replaced, the hinges must first be attached to rear lid and then attached in a position flush to the vehicle with nuts.

Follow bolt tightening sequence when doing so.

Before removing the lid hinge, the eccentric bolt in the lid hinge must be removed on vehicles with a Rear Lid Control Module -J605-. Refer to -item 7- (Hex Head Eccentric Bolts)

Bolt
- Tightening specification: 21 Nm
  NOTE:
  Follow combination screw tightening sequence.
  
  Tighten the screws to 21 Nm in this sequence: -1- : then -2-.
Bolt
- Tightening specification: 21 Nm
Rear Lid Hinge
- When changing seal where rear lid must be reinstalled, hinge can be disconnected.
- In this way, the rear lid does not need to be readjusted.
Spacer
- Must always be installed.
- If spacer is not installed, rear lid hinges can bend and lid is no longer in correct installation position.
Nut
- Tightening specification: 21 Nm
