-- Position selector lever in "N" position.

-- Turn off the ignition and remove the key.

-- Unclip mounting frame for selector lever boot -1- from center console and lift it upward -arrows-.

-- Fold selector lever boot upward.

-- Release retaining spring -2- and remove Selector Lever Transmission Range Position Display Unit -Y26- item -1- upward in direction of -arrow-.

-- Disconnect the connector.

Vehicles without CD Changer in Center Console Storage Compartment:

-- Using a screwdriver -2-, pry center console storage compartment -1- out in direction of -arrow-.

-- Reach through center console storage compartment opening and press installation frame -1- for Multimedia System Control Head -E380- up in direction of -arrow-.

Vehicles with CD Changer in Center Console Storage Compartment:

-- Reach through selector lever boot opening and press installation frame -1- for Multimedia System Control Head -E380- up in direction of -arrow-.

All Vehicles:

-- Unplug connectors.

-- Remove screws -arrows- and front ashtray housing -2-.

-- Disconnect ashtray and cigarette lighter lighting electrical connectors -1-.

-- Release retaining clips -1- and securing bar -3-.

-- Remove ashtray light -2- toward rear.
