Replacing slide washer, 85 mm diameter wheel bearings

• Carefully pry out old slide washer - 1  - with a screwdriver.
• Position new slide washer on wheel hub.

• Install special tools as shown in illustration.

1. Press piece VW 473
2. Thrust piece T40089/1 , for 85 mm diameter wheel bearings
3. Slide washer
4. Wheel hub
5. Thrust plate VW 401

NOTE:

• Slide washer must be pressed on up to wheel bearing hub radius.
