Steering Column Adjustment Switch E167, removing and installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Removing 

NOTE:
  • Disregard - 5  -.
  • Remove Torx bolts - 6  -.
  • Disconnect upper trim - 2  - for steering column switch from lower trim - 1  - and remove both sections.
  • Disconnect electrical harness connector at bottom trim.
NOTE:
  • For clarity, shown with steering wheel removed.

Installing 

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

Tightening torques

Component Nm
Steering Column Adjustment Switch E167 to bottom trim 2.5
Trim for steering column switch 0.6
Bottom trim to steering column 3.5
