Starter - 3.0L 6-cylinder engine, removing and installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Removing

Remove nut at starter solenoid terminal B+ - 2 - and remove connector eyelet from terminal.
Disconnect electrical connection for terminal 50 - 1 -.
Remove solenoid heat shield - 3 -.
Remove bolts - arrows - and remove starter.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

Tightening torques

Component - fastener	Nm
Starter to engine - bolt	45
Terminal B+ to starter - nut	16
Drive shaft heat shield to transmission - bolt	23
