Hood Lock Operating Cable

1. Cable Coupling
   • To disconnect release, fold open coupling in opposite direction of arrow.
   • Disengage cable from coupling.
   • When installing, fold together coupling in direction of arrow.
2. Cable, Lock Carrier Side
   • When removing, disconnect lock carrier at coupling.
   • Routing, passenger compartment side Fig 2.
3. Cable Clip
   • Pressed into subframe.
4. Clips
   • Secure cable in lock carrier with clip.
5. Mount
   • Engage cable in hood lock.
   • When doing this, make sure that ball engages in hose mounting.
6. Hood Lock
   • Removal, refer to Figure.

-- Disconnect cable at coupling -4-

-- Detach grommet -arrow- from bulkhead, pull out cable -2- underneath seal -3- and into passenger compartment.

-- To remove release lever -3-, remove bolts -2-.

-- When installing, grommet for cable -1- must be pressed correctly into bulkhead

-- Tighten bolts to 2 Nm when installing.

-- Clip -4- inserted in -A- pillar at bottom.
