Center Console Extension, Removing and Installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required 

• Torque wrench V.A.G 1410

1 - Center console extension

Removing 

• Remove center armrest; one-piece center armrest → One-Piece Center Armrest, Removing and Installing  ; split center armrest → Divided Front Center Armrest, Removing and Installing .
• Remove storage compartment → Center Console Storage Compartment, Divided Center Armrest, Removing and Installing .
• Remove cup holder unit with small storage compartment cover → Cupholder Unit with Small Storage Compartment Cover, Removing and Installing 
• Move both seats completely forward and set the backrests straight.

• Remove rear air vents and rear A/C control head (Climatronic) → Rear Vents and Rear Climatronic Control Head, Removing and Installing 
• Remove bolts - 2  - (qty. 2).
• Remove bolts - 3  - (6x).
• Remove bolts - 4  - (3x).

• Disconnect harness connectors to power outlets - 2  - and to large storage compartment light.
• Remove center console extension - 2  - upward and forward.

Installing 

Installation is reverse of removal.

2 - Bolts (Qty. 2), 4 Nm

3 - Bolts (6x), 4 Nm

4 - Bolts (3x), 4 Nm

5 - Rear consoles

• Removing and Installing → Rear Center Console Extension 

6 - Front consoles

• Removing and Installing → Front Center Console Extension
