Selector mechanism, manually releasing from "P" position

NOTE:

When the battery is disconnected or has been discharged, the selector lever cannot be shifted out of the "P" position.
By operating the manual release the Shift Lock Solenoid N110 will release selector lever when there is no power supply.

Remove front ashtray insert - 1 - by pressing knob - arrow -.

Remove bolt - arrow - and front ashtray housing.

NOTE:

If the manual release rocker switch has a cover, pry it off using, e.g. a screwdriver.

Press on manual release rocker switch - A - , e.g. with a screwdriver, and at the same time, remove selector lever from "P" position - arrow -.
Install front ashtray → 68 - INTERIOR EQUIPMENT .
