Adaptation channel 30-Adaptation of fuel gauge sender resistance range

This function is used to adjust the fuel gauge sender resistance range if the fuel gauge display in the instrument cluster does not match the actual amount of fuel in the tank.

Display on VAS 5051:

Select function "30" in button field -2- for "Adaptation channel 30" and press Q button to confirm input.

Tank sensor
Keypad - only direct input via the keypad is possible
The sliding bar is positioned on the current adaptation value, for example, 128

NOTE:

"128" is the adaptation value for the standard resistance range for the fuel gauge sender as set by the factory.
The resistance value for the fuel gauge sender resistance range can be adjusted by +/-8 Ohm to give an adaptation value between 120 and 136.
Only direct input via the keypad is possible!
If the value "128" was changed due to a customer complaint, the changed value must be transferred when replacing instrument cluster.

Change adaptation value via direct input. See B - Change adaptation value via direct input: .
Enter 5-digit adaptation value. Insert zeros in front.

Example:

Desired input value: 132

Keypad input: 00132

Then observe impact on display.
